Valentine's Around My Cottage

I have a lot going on around my cottage but couldn't resist decorating for the holiday dedicated to romance.

This is the side table in my entry way.
I love to decorate it for the changing seasons and holidays.

Cherubs and teacups are my favorite

I found these adorable cherub candlesticks at the thrift store.....yay for me!

Cherub happiness

Love is all around my little cottage

My husband keeps telling me I have too much stuff. It makes me happy to display all my pretties.

I love pretty little things

This is our dining room

I realized after I took these pictures that I should have put one of my pretty tablecloths on the table.

I found this adorable vintage purse at an antique shop a few years ago.

More cute Valentine decor

That little Brach's candy box is one of my favorite Valentine decorations.

This is a religious magazine I found in a bin at an antique shop.
This little gem is dated 1949.....love it!

A big sparkly red heart hangs on the cabinet in our dining room.

I hope cupid brings you lovely Valentine greetings........

And most important, may you always find
"Love in your Heart"

Yearning For Spring

The temps here in California are warm in comparison to the Eastern parts of the country, highs in the 60's, not bad, but oh how I look forward to Spring.

A little sunshine, a little rain

Springtime, a time of Renewal......looking ahead in anticipation.
Smiles and Sunshine,

Swap Tastic !

I haven't joined a swap in a few years but when I saw the Valentine swap being hosted by
Sandy at 521 lake street, I just couldn't resist and boy am I glad I did. I was paired up with Pam at Virginia Retro....what a thoughtful gal!!! Look at what she made for me.

This beautiful box is soooooo sweet and so special.

Look at this beautiful cherub that she embellished. I will display him among my shabby chic décor all year long!

That beautiful box was filled to the brim with so many goodies, I was smiling a mile wide all the way to the bottom of the box, yes she even decorated the bottom of the box !
I love vintage goodies, ribbons, bows, millinery, bobbins, love love love little treasures for crafting !

She wrapped all the little treasures in pretty pink ribbon, you are so thoughtful Pam !

She crafted this beautiful card. I am such a card freak (is that a good thing?)

She hopes I like them. I LOVE them all dear Pam!

Vintage Valentine's a plenty, tags, cards, beads & baubles........swaps are so fun!

Pam is an angel, it was so fun getting to know her, swapping so many fun treasures and most of all "making new friends". Blog friends really are one-of-a-kind and special beyond words.

Look forward to decorating for Valentine's Day with some of my new treasures, thank you Pam !

Smiles,

Debbie
