I'm A Little Teapot.......Without A Lid

Found this sweet teapot at the Thrift Shop, it was missing its lid but I didn't mind....I had plans for it.

I wanted to plant something festive in it but didn't want to drill a hole in the bottom (it's just too pretty) so I grabbed some rocks out of my garden and placed them in the bottom for drainage.
These mums were on sale at the grocery store...perfect for my little teapot.
It turned out just as I envisioned......thrift shop treasures are the best!
Have a lovely weekend..................

A Day Off + Rain = Happy Me

Woke up to cold, wet & rainy and I couldn't be happier! I am off work today for Veteran's Day.

I decided to indulge a l little and make some French Toast for breakfast. My son was all smiles over that.
I add A LOT of cinnamon to the egg/milk mixture, can you tell? lol
Makes me feel so warm inside.
Dust with powdered sugar........of course and enjoy!!!
Boy did we !

Hope your day started out as good as mine and ends just as sweet.

Falling For Roosters.....All Year Long

Fall is such a "nesting time" for me, I love to stay home and fluff the little nooks & crannies of my home. I spent this weekend indoors, cleaning and rearranging the house. I put all my roosters through the dishwasher. I love to display them all year long but they bring me such joy especially in the fall months. These little gems are a sugar and creamer I found at the Goodwill for $1.50 each.
This little guy is an egg holder, I found him at Ross on clearance for $1.00. Don't you just love to find those deals? The little rolling pin holds a recipe card. Goodwill treasure.............
The little 2 drawer stand is a Goodwill find on my lunch hour the other day. It is a little beat up but I cleaned it up and I think it looks so cute on my kitchen counter. I throw the change I find in the laundry in those drawers........shhhh don't tell my husband lol.
My husband bought this scale for me and painted it a deep dark brown. I just love the way my roosters look on it. We found the lamp at a little antique shop near Frazier Park one day when we went for a motorcycle ride. I asked the lady to wrap it up real good so when I put it in the saddle bags it didn't break. I just love those special times with my husband and I especially love it when we find things that make our house a home.
That little pie candle just makes me melt. They were at CVS Drugstore on clearance right after Halloween. I will never light it but it sure makes me feel so warm inside when I look at it.
Love my rooster canisters. Found them at an antique shop. They are a light yellow color and look so cheery in my kitchen.
After the holidays we are going to gut & remodel our kitchen. I am definitely going to love decorating it with all my farmhouse decor.
Even keep my coffee in a "Rooster Canister"
The white hen is from K-Mart. It's a butter dish. I never really shop K-mart but ran in to get a card for my step-sons birthday. Glad I did......

Well I hope your weekend was good, ours was a wet and rainy one but I got so much done. I have a short week this week, we get Veterans Day off.........yipee!!

Smiles,

Debbie
