Too Many Cooks In The Kitchen

Welcome to my dear little kitchen. It is nothing fancy, no new state-of-the-art appliances like the ones I left behind but it is perfect for me and perfect for cooking meals for my sweet little boy who always says "Mom you are the best cooker in the world".

It has been a challenge getting used to cooking on an electric stove but I have lived through much worse.

I have plenty of counter space to work from and of course plenty of room to display all the things that make me smile. I have a lot to smile about these days.

I just love this "Pantry" sign and it had the perfect spot in my old kitchen. I think I found a much better place for it here in my new kitchen.....

I need to find a charming curtain for the window over the sink. It is so nice to stand at the sink and have the fresh air come in while I am doing the dishes. Hmmmm I actually like doing dishes...

I will undoubtedly add color to the walls in time, but for now I am just enjoying my new surroundings and getting acquainted with this cozy little place I affectionately call "Home Sweet Home".

After a long weekend of moving to a new old house I decided to get on the net and read some blogs, its so funny I came across yours. I am not sure why you moved but I needed a more simple house with no stairs (however we do have two). We moved to the country with not a neighbor in site I to have a kitchen window at the sink and love it. I wish you well in your new old home....God Bless..Victoria

I see "you" all around that kitchen. No wonder you're smiling. I'm so glad you posted and I have to concur, cooking on an electric stove is sooo different then on a gas.
Here's to creating many happy memories in your new home. Hugs!
