How Do You Like Your Coffee?

I can't even begin my day without that first cup of coffee.
On my day off last week, I decided to move things around and make a coffee station.

All set up and ready to brew

Love my roosters
My rooster canister from Old Towne Temecula holds my coffee grounds much sweeter than the plastic Folgers can. Just love it!
I put some silver spoons in this little rooster container. I'm not sure what it really is but it holds my spoons so sweetly.

Found this uh-dor-able recipe box at the Goodwill. Who in her right mind would get rid of that cute little box? Gosh I sure am glad she did.

Those strawberries are just beckoning the lazy days of summer.

Love those cherries!

Lemon Meringue Pie......so refreshing

It's For The Birds

Let me start by saying, when I bought this, it was NOT because of the 1980's "country geese".
This is what I saw in my head...... yes much better red and a place  to grow  tomatoes. It's a  first for me. growing tomatoes that is. I love to work in my flower beds, why not try my hand at some vegetables?
My husband drilled a hole in the bottom for drainage then kissed my thumb for good luck.

He knows how much I love to piddle around with my flowers and while he was at Harbor Freight the other day, he bought me some pretty new gloves.

Those sweet little things he does to show he is thinking about me make me feel so special.

Found this old ice bucket at The Goodwill and thought hmmm I think I can use this for.........
The bird feed

I went to Michael's and found some stickers (on sale) and tricked it out a little.
I love to take something and re-purpose it.....even if its just for the birds.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend, I sure did. Weatherman says cold days ahead this week. I sure wish Spring would hang around a bit longer.

A Beautiful Day For Me....

It was a beautiful 80 degree day in Southern California today. Needless to say, I spent my day outside in the sunshine.
These little flowers were begging me to give them a more permanent home.

These bunnies live in my rose bush pot all year long.
I love to feed the birds, my dad always fed them when I was a child and now that dad has gone to heaven, I feel close to him when I am outside working in my yard.
But of course I have to remind the crows they are not welcome

I put this resin rooster in a birdcage on my porch

At my house, you are always "Welcome To My Garden"

Hope the sunshine continues throughout your entire week.

Sunshine In A Spray Paint Can

Found this shelf at the Goodwill, price was $3.99 and I thought to myself, "hey I can do something with that". Its prior owner had taken a marker to it and written some silly something on the under side of the top shelf.

Took a little trip to Lowe's with my sweetheart and we both agreed on this "Sunshine Yellow". I just love the way it makes my little red treasures pop!

I told my son, the picture on that little cookbook reminds me of him and me. He looked at me with that crooked little smile like "ok mom, if you say so".

Oh how I love my roosters. Goodwill treasures.

That little red colander looks right at home on my sunshine yellow shelf.

I took the day off tomorrow to spend the day with.......MYSELF. Oh I am just delighted, I have some little projects I want to get done that of course involve spray paint and I picked up a couple little flower plants I want to pot for my little area on the front porch. I had a FABULOUS time with my blog girlfriends yesterday. We shopped for hours, found amazing treasures. We shopped, ate, laughed and shared. Thank you Elaine, Patty & Shelly.

I look forward to sharing the treasures we found on our excursion.......

Smiles,

Debbie
