Ten Minutes, $ Ten Bucks $ and a Treasure Trove of Thrift Store Finds.......

Wow that was a long title, but when you see the goodies I scored at the Thrift Store after my ritualistic pedicure, you will see why I had to brag......I ran into the Salvation Army with 10 minutes to spare and for a grand total of $10 I brought home some things to smile about....
I just love this little white crock complete with a cute little ladle, $2.00 such a deal...This ceramic cherub was sitting all by itself on the front counter as if someone wanted to buy it but forgot to buy it so I was happy to take it home and make it mine. $2.00
In the matter of these little blue and silver votives, I had an idea to paint the base of them white (duh) and I bought some "glass paint" in Victorian Rose to shabby chic them out. I have never used glass paint before but I bought some at Michael's today, read the directions on the bottle and it looks pretty self-explanatory. I will share the results with you when I finish. Just $.99 each, can't go wrong....

Now this item is gonna take some imagination ladies, but I had the vision while standing in the Salvation Army and I saw beyond the "Wedding Centerpiece". I thought that it had potential once I shed the silk flowers, added some candle sticks and attached some pretty crystals to my new shabby chic treasure. I love to "see beyond" what is in front of me and explore ways to put my signature on something that is "New To Me". Even at $3.00 I felt it was worth it.....

This brass tray was just $.99 and I thought once I cleaned it up I could use it for drinks on the patio over the summer. I will probably paint it white so that it will feel right at home.....

I will gladly add these great finds to my "list of things to do" and look forward to sharing. When friends in my life ask me what I am doing over the weekend I always reply "With (spray) paint in hand and awesome treasures before me, I am making memories for my heart and cherished pieces for my home".

Happy Hunting,

Debbie Kay

Wow! You sure did good! Funny how much we can spot with so little time. I think you must have a trained eye to zone in on the good stuff.

I think that little "wedding centerpiece" is going to look super once you do your magic to it.

Can't wait to hear how the glass paint goes. Be sure to let me know.

Hugs,
Joanne

Hi Debbie Kay ~ Yay for you! Wow, you sure found some great things to redo...can't wait to see the amazing transformations!

I'm unable to upload pics right now for my blog, but I found a great deal one night this past week at one of the local Goodwill stores...a large roll of decorator fabric for $4.99! It's tone-on-tone cream with a stripe.

Hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday weekend!

Blessings,
Michelle

P.S. Thanks for your sweet comment!

SCORE!! Girl, you can do some damage in 10 minutes and with $10...way to go!

I've been on the lookout for a white soup tureen and ladle...I love your new white crock tho. Won't it be nice to put soup or chili in it during the winter!
